It’s that time of the year! Q++ officer applications are now open! Q++ is a student organization created by Allen School undergraduates to support the Allen School’s LGBTQ+ community.
Engineers without Borders is busy planning their Second Annual Impacts Gala. This benefit will feature regional wine, beer & spirits and local music artists. The event will showcase International Projects in Guatemala and Nicaragua, providing networking opportunities for professional and student engineers alike.
This event will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2019 at the Landing at Shilshole Bay on Puget Sound. General admission to this event will include two beverages of choice and hors d’oeuvres & small-plates. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) team for UW EcoCar is looking to expand! CAV is hoping to add a couple of excited undergraduate and graduate students to their team to work on projects such as Vehicle to Everything Communication, Sensor Fusion, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Computer Vision.

1) Volunteers! ACM is looking for volunteers who can help out on the day of Spring BBQ (Friday, May 10th). We will be needing volunteers for 1.5 hour intervals from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form with your available times.

One of UW’s student organizations, Technology and Business Association, is organizing a Tech Empowerment Tour: “The Have Not Story”. Rokeya Jones, the speaker of this event, will share tips about how to tell a story to present our best selves and tips on career success in general. Spring quarter is kicking into gear, and that means it’s time for ACM-W to start looking for next year’s leadership team. Do you know someone who would be a great fit for ACM-W? Maybe a friend or a TA? Nominate them here and we will send them an email letting them know they should apply. The nomination form is completely anonymous.
Do you want to join the team? You don’t have to nominate yourself, you can just directly apply here! ACM-W welcomes students of all backgrounds and identities to join our team! The application form is NOT anonymous, and it will record your cse email when you submit.
If you are interested in applying to the 5th year masters (combined BS/MS) program, please join us for an information session Thursday, May 2nd at 3:30pm in SIEG 134.
Take a look at the webpages to familiarize yourself with the program and then join us on the 2nd. We will go over how the program is set up, pros/cons of doing a fifth year masters, and how to prepare a strong application.

What? Spring BBQ is a casual event for you to relax and meet some new people! Play field games and soak up the warm sun while enjoying some delicious food and snacks.
When? May 10th 4:30PM – 7:00PM
Where? Sylvan Grove. Please enter from the main entrance on the Northeast side. No other entrances will be open.
RSVP’s: RSVP (tinyurl.com/ACMBBQ19) by Wednesday, May 1st. RSVP’s for all attendees are mandatory. Please save the QR code you receive in the eventbrite email as we will be scanning your QR code before entry.
Attendees can purchase $10 tickets for their +1’s on Eventbrite as well.

This event is free for ACM members and $10 for their +1s. If you are unsure whether you are a member, you can RSVP first and we will follow up with you.
All attendees must have no Snack Overflow debt (from the old system). Please email acm-officers@cs.washington.edu if you are unsure of how much debt you have. We will follow up with you personally.
If you are 21+ and would like to access the beer garden, please bring your government-issued ID for check-in.
