Hi CSE Undergrads,
We have received several requests from students applying to graduate school asking if we could introduce them to other students who are also going through this process. We thought this was a great idea, and would like to open this up to everyone. We’re thinking of hosting an event where all prospective graduate students in the department can meet and share tips, proofread essays, network, etc. We’ll also invite current graduate students in our department, so they can share with you what they did to get into their programs.
Who: All CSE undergrads considering grad school, especially those of you planning on applying in the near future.
What: Informal meetup (with snacks!) to connect with other undergrads going through the same process and with graduate students who want to share their advice for success.
When/Where: TBD in early November. Please fill out the survey if you are interested so we can get an estimate of how many people would like to come and what days/times would be best.
Again, if this sounds like something you’d like to attend, PLEASE RESPOND to the catalyst survey below. Filling out this survey doesn’t mean you have to attend the event. We’re just trying to gauge who would like to participate and what days work best.
