ACM is hosting a Meet a Grad Student mixer on Tuesday, February 26th from 4:00 – 5:30pm in CSE 305 to introduce UW CSE undergraduates to CSE graduate students. This is a chance to learn more about what it’s like to pursue a PhD in Computer Science, and to gain insight from graduate students’ personal experiences with applying to and preparing for PhD programs.
The mixer will begin with brief introductions of each graduate student so the undergraduates can become familiar with everyone present. Then, undergraduates will break up into groups each headed by a graduate student where they will be free to ask questions and discuss anything they would like. Brownies will be provided as a light snack for those who attend!

ACM will be hosting technical interview prep next Friday (1/18) in CSE 305 from 5:00PM – 6:30PM!
The interview prep session will be an opportunity for you to partake in a technical mock-interview with a partner. It helps you to practice explaining your train of thoughts and solving questions in a timely manner. The session is open to people of all experience levels. Whether you have never completed a technical interview or have completed multiple, you are welcome to join us! Please bring paper and pen. 🙂

Hello everyone. Hope winter break left you feeling refreshed for winter quarter!
Our winter recruiting season is about to begin and Amazon has extended an invitation for students to visit Amazon HQ, hear about the experiences of former huskies now working at Amazon, and tour the spheres! This event will happen on Wednesday, January 16th at 4PM. The event will begin in the Day 1 office of Amazon and transition to the Spheres for a tour.
We need a headcount of how many people are interested in the event, so we request that everyone who is interested fills out this form ASAP.

Hello CSE undergraduates!
ACM’s Research Night is here and will be held on Tuesday, November 27th (ECE [formerly EEB] 105) and Thursday, November 29th (ECE 125) from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
At Research Night, you can expect:
- To learn about research in the Allen School and the benefits of participating in research
- A keynote speech from a distinguished researcher/professor
- Lightning talks from various labs
- Lab tours
- Potential research opportunities
Note that the two nights are identical — please attend only one of the two nights.

We’d like to share two important pieces of information about Fall Fest.
- RSVP’s for ACM members will be closing THIS FRIDAY, November 9th.
- +1 RSVP’s have almost reached capacity, so we will be capping the +1 RSVPs TONIGHT, Novembers 6th, at 11:59PM. Late +1 RSVP’s will not be accepted.
In order to attend, you must RSVP via Eventbrite (http://tinyurl.com/ACMFallFest2018) by these deadlines. Walk-in attendees will not be accepted this year.

November is here and ACM’s annual Fall Fest is back!
