From Sudo Soldiers Student Org:
Hey hackers
Sudo Soldiers is a RSO at UW with only one aim – to teach people modern
technologies and help them discover new programming concepts and tools.
With this in mind, and in continuation of our “Learn web development” series,
we are hosting a workshop for all interested students, where we will teach
how to build amazing web apps with node.js.
When: Thu, Feb 20, 2014 5:30pm-7:30pm
Where: SAV 155
Cost: Always free
Node.js is a platform built on Chrome’s JavaScript runtime for easily building
fast, scalable network applications. It is *the* hottest web development platform
right now, that has had paradigm shifting effects on the software development
community (in a good way).
In this (longer) session we will make a web app, from scratch, using NodeJS,
ExpressJS, MongoDB and Bootstrap. It will be a fun and intense session – and
you will know enough to get started with making web apps right afterwards.
So, RSVP now: https://www.facebook.com/events/217766491762020/
Email any questions/suggestions to uwsudo@gmail.com or post in our Facebook
See you on Thursday!
