AdMob Challenge

I wanted to loop UW students in on something called the AdMob Challenge. There was a recent announcement made via a Google Students post about this which you can read about in more detail via the link, but basically AdMob is the name of a Google platform that helps app developers monetize their apps. The AdMob team is trying to build tech student awareness (especially to those who are already creating their own apps) by creating this challenge.

Students form teams of 1-5 and create an App. They have until March 31st to submit their apps. Winning teams get prizes, and the grand prize is a trip to Mountain View, CA.

This challenge could be particularly good for students who already have an internship with another company this summer but are still interested in Google. I’ve attached a one-sheeter about the challenge and you can feel free to copy and share the G+ post as you wish.

It would be great if you could let your students know about this challenge. You can direct students to the official site, where they can register and get all the info.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Cheers,

Marion
