Volunteer with TEDxUofW

My name is Arash Namvar and I am one of the three co-curators for the
University of Washington’s TEDx conference; TEDxUofW. If you are unfamiliar
with TEDx: TEDx are independently organized events-where communities and
individuals have the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like
experiences. We hope to bring our own TEDx experience with the “Elements of
Transition”; this year’s theme for TEDxUofW set to take place on April 20th
2013. We are excited to open a forum to the University of Washington
students and community about discovering identities, proactive communities,
and how they shape the world.

TEDxUofW is a TEDx licensee and an independently organized community event.
We are looking for volunteers for our event. Right now, we are looking for
long-term volunteers in Registration Manager, Sponsorship Manager,
Volunteer Manager, Event Day Managers, Speaker Selection Manager, Web
Developer, Social Media Manager, Production Manager, Graphic Design
Manager, Photographer, and Production Technician.

We at TEDxUofW are reaching out to a select group of organizations that are
committed to the power of ideas to support our TEDx event. We felt the
Association for Computing Machinery would contribute to creating a memorable and unique
TEDxUofW atmosphere.

Feel free to reach me directly at tedxuofw@uw.edu if you have any questions
or would like to get more involved in TEDxUofW.

Warmly,

Arash Namvar
