Busy Building this Saturday Afternoon – CSE Open House

Hi all,

We want to give you a heads-up that we are hosting a open house for middle and high school students this Saturday afternoon from 1pm-3pm (details below). We will be using the Atrium, breakout areas on each floor landing, and other labs and conference rooms in the building for this event, including 002. If you see any of our visitors looking lost, it would be great if you offered them your help in figuring out where to go.

Please be prepared for lots of noise and activity throughout the building during this time. Popular study areas will be in use, and you may want to consider this if you planned to be here. It could get hectic.  All should be quiet again after 3pm.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Megan

Quick reminder that we are hosting a computing-focused open house for middle and high school kids this Saturday 1-3pm (https://www.cs.washington.edu/openhouse).

Last I checked, we had 646 RSVPs!  This means the building will be noisy and very busy during those two hours.  The majority of the activity will be in the atrium and the breakout areas but we also have reserved  rooms throughout the building including the undergraduate lab 002.
Please be extra careful to lock doors and hide state secrets when you head out Friday.
Thanks to all of you who are helping make this event a success!

Hélène.
