7th Annual Science & Technology Showcase – Win cash prizes for your innovative science and tech ideas!

Are you working on a technology that has potential for commercialization?

Do you have a business idea in the science and technology space that you’d like to explore in more depth?
Would you like a chance to win cash prizes? If so, register now for the 7th Annual Science & Technology Showcase (STS) co-hosted by UW SEBA and Foster Business School’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE).

Participating in STS allows you to further explore the commercialization potential of your science- and technology-based ideas by presenting them to an audience of fellow scientists and engineers, MBA students, and a panel of judges that includes prominent entrepreneurs and investors from the Seattle business community. Since STS takes place in conjunction with a UW Business Plan Competition Networking Night, it is an excellent opportunity to find business partners AND to get valuable feedback on your idea and your pitch.

Students often ask whether participation in STS puts them at risk for disclosing intellectual property related to their technology: as long as the technology is presented in terms of the benefits it brings to a market, and not the nuts and bolts of how it is implemented, there is no risk to participation. If you have additional questions, we will be holding office hours with an IP attorney in early January.

Last year we gave away EIGHT cash prizes ranging from $100 to $1,000. You can’t win the money if you don’t enter!
