Hi all,
Each year we admit a small number of incoming freshmen directly into the CSE undergraduate program through our DA program. On Friday, April 16th, we will host an afternoon “visit day” for these students and their parents. A significant piece of the visit is breaking the visitors into small groups and having them rotate through two demos and building tours from 4-5:30pm. Each year we’ve had really interesting, hands-on/interactive demos (recents include RFID, HCI lab, Photo Tourism, FoldIt, WebAnywhere, etc.), and it’d be great to have another fantastic line-up for them again this year.
This means I’m putting out the call for volunteers! If you are interested in participating in this event with a research or class project demo, please let me know. We’d love to have your help in impressing the prospective students and their parents.
