Getting involved with an Open Source project is an excellent way to gain real-world software development experience. Through the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program, you have the opportunity to partner with an experienced mentor, deeply immerse yourself in a 3-month coding project, and work collaboratively with a globally distributed team. Google will accept student applications from March 23 through April 3.
You’re invited to learn more about Google Summer of Code and meet a few mentors from 2008 GSoC at an info session this Thursday.
