Brian Griffith, 3rd year, interned at Hulu Seattle, will be interning at Dropbox SanFran, and lately been obsessed with eating Butternut squash.

Karolina Pyszkiewicz, 2nd year, interned at Microsoft in Redmond and Google in the Bay Area. I’ll be interning at Google again this summer and at Facebook next fall – both in the Bay Area. I love peaches.

Clint Malcolm, I’m a 4th year. Ive interned at facebook twice, once in the bay area and once in seattle. I will be working at indeed after graduation. I’ve TA-ed 14x and 154 since freshman year. I am currently assisting with research into diagram assisted learning specifically with geometry problems. I spend my free time in marching and symohonic bands.

This year, ACM is pleased to announce Winter Ball! Put on your best fancy-schmancy dress, ball gown, tux, or suit-and-tie (or if you prefer, your prettiest pair of T-shirt and jeans) and dance the night away under the atrium.

When: 2/13,  5:30 – 8:30 pm

There will be dinner and drinks (for those 21+, must have id), music, and more!

Hack Housing Hackathon: Chance to Win $10,000

Zillow and the department of Computer Science & Engineering at the

University of Washington, with participation from the White House, U.S.
Department of Commerce and the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD), will host a weekend hackathon at Zillow’s HQ, February 6-8, 2015.

Participating developers and designers will be tasked with creating
transparency around thousands of local and federal data sets, to help
people in their housing decisions. As part of the event, participants will
have access to newly released government data sets on topics like federal
housing programs; apartment buildings with accessible apartments; and
transit information. In addition, Zillow will make available its data on
home values and rents.

Zillow co-founder Rich Barton will open the event by sharing his experience
in the tech and housing sector and his success in bringing power to the
people across a number of industries. After a day and a half of hard work,
participants will present their solutions to a judging panel of local tech
leaders, entrepreneurs and federal government officials specializing in
big/open data.

The winning team will receive a $10,000 prize.
