This is a reminder that our first ever ACM-W Member Meeting is coming up in TWO WEEKS! ACM-W is a student group within the Allen school who are here to support, celebrate, and advocate for women in computing! We invite you to join us as a member if you haven’t already and become part of this community in learning about diversity and growing in unique ways. We hold educational, networking, and social events year-round. Some past events have been Din Tai Fung with Bloomberg, Depth of Impostor Syndrome, and Career Fair Prep Workshop. As a member, you get exclusive access to our members-only events! Membership is completely free and all it takes is a few minutes to fill out our membership form. We’d love to celebrate you with our first ever Member Meeting! If you are now an ACM-W member, we invite you to attend via Zoom this quarter (we know, it gets better, we promise) to meet other people in the club who share an interest in supporting, celebrating, and advocating for women in computing. After we get to know each other a bit with light games, we’ll discuss various topics surrounding women in computing and how we can put what we learn into practice. We’ll also be presenting on the election process for becoming an ACM-W officer for the next school year and encourage you to consider running if you have a passion for our mission and want to be part of fostering this community in our school!
