Come join the TUNE House for our annual event celebrating International Women’s Day, titled “You Can’t Be What You Can’t See”. We all know by now that you don’t have to look a certain way to be a great computer scientist, or work in tech; but with seemingly few women to look up to, many young women self-select out of a technical career path before they even give it a chance.
The event will feature a keynote talk by Alice Steinglass, President at Code.org as well as lightning talks from influential speakers from both the Allen School and the larger Seattle tech community (see our website for speaker announcements!).
When: Friday, March 8th at 6pm
Where: TUNE House Kitchen
RSVP at: https://tunehouseevents.splashthat.com
Heavy appetizers and beverages will be provided. This free event is for both men AND women. Come join us along with your friends and family as we celebrate International Women’s Day! Make sure to RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your spot!
