Creating Space for the Deaf Community with Sophie Tian and Richard Ladner

Hello!
The Student Advisory Council would like to invite you to an event on Creating Space for the Deaf Community. Our two featured speakers will be current UW CSE student Sophie Tian and Professor of Emeritus Richard Ladner. They will be sharing their experiences as well as the incredible work they have done in the deaf community. This is an opportunity for CSE students to come together, learn to see from another’s perspective, and brainstorm ideas on how to make our community a better place. We hope this discussion forum will lead to constructive conversations and actionable resolutions.
The meeting is in CSE 305 on Wednesday, November 29th. Doors open at 5:00 pm, event starts at 5:15 pm. Please RSVP here so we know how much food to order!
