Last Wednesday, there was an accident in the atrium, where a cell phone fell from above and struck an EE student in the head.   The student was taken to the ER and she sustained a concussion but should be ok.    In any case, I want to remind you to be *extremely* careful with your belongings on the stairways, bridges, or hallways that overlook the atrium.    We were very lucky this time – it could have been much worse.

If you were involved or were there and saw the accident, please send me email — I just want to know what happened in more detail so we can find ways to avoid accidents such as this in the future.

Thanks

Hank
