Microsoft Tech Talk

Thursday | November 13th | 6:00pm

Paul Allen CSE Building, Room EE105

Data is the next new economy. Data is amazing and what we are learning from and developing out of data is even better. Archana Ramesh, a Data Scientist at Microsoft will introduce audience members to the basics of what makes a data scientist and the growing demand for data scientists across tech and non-tech industries. She will share examples from the industry, spurious but fun correlations, and scary abuses today and on the horizon. Archana will talk about her experience working within the Microsoft Operating Systems Group’s core Data Science organization and how to put data science to practice.

There are vast opportunities across Microsoft for a new generation of Data Scientists. Attend this talk and you will understand the world of data, why it is growing so fast, and where you just might fit in.
