Dear Potential Saturday Computing Volunteers,
The Saturday Computing Experience is an 8 week workshop for deaf and
hard of hearing high school students. It starts on April 6th and ends
on June 1st, skipping the Memorial Day weekend. It runs from 9:30 to
noon except on the final day when students showcase their projects to
their family and friends. There is an orientation the evening of
April 3rd, Wednesday, from 6 to 7:30.

This year we will be doing Processing, modeled after the DawgBytes
camps that were done here last summer. We may be able to link up
Processing with Android phones too.
We are looking for a few volunteers to help with one-on-one mentoring
with the students. It is not necessary to know sign language,
although it would be helpful. We will have interpreters in the room
to assist with communication. To volunteer please sign up at the
following catalyst site.

If you are interested please sign up by the end of the day, Tuesday, March 19th.
Thanks,
Richard Ladner
Professor in CSE
