Subject: [cs-ugrads] Alarm testing, ventilation shutdown Wed (4/28) 5am-9am- Allen Center for CSE
The alarm shop will be doing some testing of the system in the building tomorrow morning (4/28) from 5am to 8am.
The alarm will sound, the strobes will flash, the fire doors will close, the elevators will be recalled to the first floor. There is no need to leave the building during testing.
To add to the fun, the building ventilation system will shutdown from 7:30am to 9am. This means no air supply to the vents in offices and labs. This will not affect cooling in the machine rooms. It will likely be just a little warm, but certainly shouldn’t be an issue.
