UW Information Sessions, NAE Seattle Summit and Poster Competition
Dear engineering students and faculty,
Please stop by any time during one of the information sessions listed below to learn about the National Academy of Engineers Grand Challenges Summit Series and student poster competition to be held in Seattle May 2nd and 3rd hosted by the University of Washington. Hundreds of engineers, scientists, innovators, and students from nine U.S. states and British Columbia will be attending this regional conference. The purpose in holding these information sessions is to help engineering students learn about how to participate in the conference and how to register for the poster competition held on May 2nd. The competition would be an opportunity for students to gain national exposure for engineering research and/or designs.
The Seattle Summit is focused on two of the fourteen Grand Challenges identified by the National Academy of Engineering: “Engineer better medicines” and “Engineer the tools of scientific discovery”. As an engineering student, my goal is to increase student participation in a conference that brings engineers together – across all disciplines and universities to address the engineering challenges of our time.

Monday, April 12th, 11:30am to 12:30pm, in the Deans Conference Room, Loew 355
