CSE juniors or seniors: If you’d like to take business classes such as marketing, management and accounting as electives, the Foster School of Business BA 470, 471, and 472 course series is a great option. These are elective courses offered through UW Extension.
This series (also known as the Business Essentials program) is designed specifically for the non-business major who wants to complete up to 9 credits of business coursework to prepare them to succeed as a professional working in business. Additionally, these courses serve as required pre-requisites for the Foster School of Business Sales Certificate program and Retail Management program. Autumn 2009 BA 471, Marketing for Non-Business Majors, will be offered Wednesdays 6-9 p.m., September 30th – December 9th. This course will focus on the marketing methods and business strategies that companies use to deliver value to customers.
To register for these courses, students will have to register and pay tuition thru UW Professional and Continuing Education, an extension of UW Educational Outreach. Additionally, award of the certificates after coursework is completed is subject to restrictions and requirements listed on the web sites. This program runs during the autumn, winter, and spring quarters.
